Though rentldsaudiobooks.com is geared toward our audiobook customers, we do also offer packages for those strictly interested in DVDs. Though there are many other (much larger) online DVD rental sites, ours is different. We cater to the LDS genre in a way that no other service does. Many of our titles are not available at some of the more popular online rental sites. Before rentldsaudiobooks.com, you would have to spend a great deal of money to enjoy these titles. Now, you can for a fraction of the price! Furthermore, no more hiding your eyes as you browse other, online sites, or embarrassing trips to the video store with your children. We carry none of the smut you will find in these places and are confident you will find our family-friendly products a welcomed relief. Which credit cards does rentldsaudiobooks.com accept? rentldsaudiobooks.com accepts all major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover cards. We also accept debit cards issued from Visa or MasterCard logo. Can I pay by check? At this time we are unable to accomodate traditional check-in-the-mail payments, money orders or purchase orders. We do accept debit cards issued from Visa or MasterCard, and all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover). How safe is my credit/debit card? We use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology to encrypt the personal information you enter while registering. This ensures that none of your personal information can be read by any third party. As a result, you can be assured that sending your credit/debit card over SSL is safer than paying for your shopping at the grocery store! If it's a free trial why do I have to enter a credit/debit card number? We require a valid card for every subscriber regardless of their current billing status. This is to verify your identity and to ensure any potential subscriber is over 18 years of age. Your credit/debit card will be charged $0.01 during your free trial. (Just to check that your credit card will be approved). How long is the free trial? The standard free trial lasts for 14 days (see "My Account" for details of your specific trial conditions). There may be some promotions that may extend this time period. The free trial will end once you have rented the maximum allowed number of titles for the trial period or at the end of the period of your trial, whichever is reached first. You may stop your free trial and become a full member at any time. Just choose "My Account" then "My Membership Packages". You will be charged for one month's subscription and will be sent any additional titles. Why does it say my credit card details are invalid when I know they are valid? You may have a problem with cookies on your computer. Click here for more information. I'm having trouble logging in. If you have forgotten your password, we can send it to the e-mail address that you subscribed with. Use the "Lost Password" link when you log on/sign in. I know my password, but I'm still having trouble logging in. You may have a problem with cookies on your computer. Click here for more information. Problems with Cookies. You may experience problems if you are using a browser (e.g. Internet Explorer) which restricts the use of cookies (text files) by our web site. If you are using IE6 you will have to allow a 'low level' or 'unrestricted' use of cookies in the Privacy option. In your browser, click on "Tools", "Internet Options" and then "Privacy". Move the slider to "Low" or "Accept All Cookies". Once our 'cookie' has been placed on your computer, you will be able to revert to your original 'privacy' settings. I've forgotten my password. If you have forgotten your password, we can send it to the e-mail address that you subscribed with. Use the "Lost Password" link when you log on/sign in. Is my internet browser compatible with rentldsaudiobooks.com? Our website is compatible with most internet browsers. Browsers that we know are not fully compatible are: Safari Browser for Macintosh systems Set-top Browsers If you are experiencing problems with these browsers, please try another. When I try to change my account details I get an error message saying "The page could not be displayed" or "Cannot find server". If you are able to refresh the page, it may be a problem on your computer. Rebooting your computer should fix the problem. How do I cancel my subscription? Log in, click on "My Account" then choose "Cancel Membership" and follow the instructions. It is essential to cancel your membership no later than the day before your next payment date and before returning your last title so that we do not send another. You must return all remaining discs after cancelling, getting a receipt of mailing as proof of return, to ensure that you are not charged for another month's subscription. (We allow an extra 2 days for return of titles beyond the next payment date.) What is my next payment date? To check on your next payment date, click on "My Account". Can I freeze my account when I go away on vacation or a business trip? If you are going on vacation or away on business you can freeze your account up to twice a year, for no more than 60 days in total. (This facility is for full members only.) No titles will be sent to you and you will not be charged during that period, but please note that all selections must be returned before the freeze takes effect. To freeze your account, click on "My Account" then choose "Freeze Your Account". How do I change my subscription level? Log in, click on "My Account" then choose "Change Plan". You can then choose the plan you would like. You will be charged the new subscription amount less any unused portion of your previous subscription and your next payment date will be advanced by one month. You can change your plan at any time. View our full plan range. What subscription plans do you offer? We offer a wide range of plans to fit any lifestyle. View our full range of packages. How do I rent a title? To add a title to your Rental Queue you can find the one you want by searching for the title name or choosing from our collections, then click on "rent". You can have up to 100 titles in your queue. We recommend you put at least 10-15 selections in your Rental Queue to begin with and "top up" regularly, to ensure that there are no delays in sending selections to you. Once you have about 10 titles in your queue you will automatically be sent the first available one. Why are titles not sent in the exact order I have chosen? We cannot guarantee the exact order of sending as this depends on availability of discs for a particular selection. We send the next available disk from your queue. What can I do to ensure I receive a series of titles in the correct order? Books on CD or Books on MP3CD are always sent packaged together. We do not split up disks. However, if you want to watch a series of movies or TV programs in a precise order we recommend that you add one at a time to your Rental Queue. When one has been dispatched, the next can be added to your queue. How can I become a full member? To become a full member choose "My Account" then "Upgrade to full membership now". You will be charged for one month's subscription and will be sent your additional selections if you have chosen a plan with a higher number of disks on hand. I only wanted the free trial. Why have I been billed? If you cancel your subscription before the end of the free trial period and return your disks, there is no charge. If you have not cancelled when your free trial ends, you become a full member. There is no tie-in period, and you can cancel at any time. If you have not sent your titles back or we have not received them then you will also be billed. How do I become a full member after my free trial ends? You will become a full member automatically at the end of the free trial period. I have referred a friend to rentldsaudiobooks.com. Do I get anything in return? Yes! Provided you follow the "Tell a Friend" procedure. What day of the month will I get billed? On the same day of the month that you became a full subscriber. How do I change my e-mail address or credit/debit card details? You can edit all the personal information we hold for you in the "My Account" section. My subscription was suspended due to a problem with my credit/debit card. How can I restart my subscription? In the event of your subscription being suspended due to a billing problem, the billing system will automatically mail you and inform you. You must then logon to update your card details and re-activate your account. What are the terms of my current subscription level? You can check using the "Terms & Conditions" link at the bottom of our Home Page. What is the maximum number of rentals for a subscription period? The maximum number of rentals for a subscription period will be shown in the "My Account" section for your package or click here to view plan details. Can I rent a title without becoming a subscriber? No. Only subscribers of rentldsaudiobooks.com can use the service. Why do I have to give you my email address? Your email address is important to us as it is how we will correspond with you regarding your subscription. Rest assured that we will not sell, rent or otherwise disclose your email address to third parties. I received a scratched or damaged disc. What do I do? Click on Report a Problem (you must be logged into your account to access this link.) You can then select from the list of problems and follow the instructions to report the problem to us. The disk I rented is unplayable. Please try cleaning the disc with a soft non-abrasive cloth, wiping from the center to the outer edge in a straight line. Do not wipe the disc in a circle as this will damage the playing surface. If you are still having problems go to the Report a Problem page and report the movie as unplayable.(You must be logged into your account to access this link.) All damaged or unplayable discs should be mailed back to us at your earliest convenience. Your account will show you have this disc until we receive it back. I have damaged a disc. What do I do? We believe that honesty is the best policy. If the damaged disk is our fault, or the fault of the Post Office, we will take care of it. If it was scratched or damaged in your care, we ask that you take responsibility. You are welcome to replace it with a new copy purchased on your own, but typically the most cost effective way is to purchase your rented copy. Click on the Report a Problem link for more details.(You must be logged into your account to access this link.) Allow us to order a new one from the publisher for our stock. If the damage occurred before you received the disk, just place the entire title it back in the return envelope with a note explaining the problem, and send it back to us. We will send you the next selection on your list. If you desire the damaged title to be sent to you again when it is replaced, please re-add the selection to your queue. What happens if a disc is lost in the mail? We are aware that a disc may occasionally be lost during the shipping process through no fault of the customer. Therefore, we will not charge you and you will be sent a replacement title. If you think a disc has been delayed or lost in the mail for more then 7 business days, please go to Report a Problem.(You must be logged into your account to access this link.) I've lost the prepaid return envelope and/or the protective case. How do I return the disk? If you have lost the protective case as well as the prepaid envelope, it is your responsibility to ensure the disk is adequately packaged for transit. Any damages occurring as a result of poor packaging will be chargeable. I returned a title but according to my queue, rentldsaudiobooks.com hasn't received it. Although disks are returned by First class mail, the postal service does not guarantee next day delivery. First class mail can take as much as 7 days or more during holidays. However, it's possible that the disk has been lost in the mail. Please allow 4 business days after mailing the titles. If the disks have not been received by us after this time, go to Report a Problem.(You must be logged into your account to access this link.) I've lost a disk. What do I do? We regret we will need to charge you for the lost disk. Please go to Report a Problem (You must be logged into your account to access this link.) I reported a disk as lost but have now found it. What do I do? If you've found a disk that you previously reported lost, please send the disk back to us so we can update your account. The title will be removed from the Lost discs section. You can either send the disk alone or with other returns. According to my queue, a disk has been sent to me but I have not received it. Although disks are sent out by First class mail, the postal service does not guarantee next day delivery. First class mail can take between 3-5 days in certain circumstances. However, it's possible that the disk has been lost in the mail. I sent back a personal disc accidentally. How do I get it back? Please email Customer Service and we will do our best to locate it for you. If you return discs in non-rentldsaudiobooks.com packaging or envelope, please enclose your name and address so we can update the appropriate account. Do you ship to my country? At present we ship within the U.S., Puerto Rico and Guam only. Please e-mail Customer Service if you live outside the U.S. and are interested in our service. Are the disks sent by First or Second Class mail? The disks are sent via First class and pre-paid First class on return. How long does it take for my titles to be sent to me? This depends on the availability of the title. rentldsaudiobooks.com takes great pride in the amount of stock we have access to. Most selections are dispatched the same day by First class mail. What do I do if I receive the wrong title? Please go to Report a Problem (you must be logged into your account to access this link) and return the disc with a note. What is an MP3CD? MP3 is short for MPEG Audio Layer 3 and is a digital audio format. It is an audio format that allows a great deal of information in a little space. Large audio books that can take up to 10 or 15 cds, can fit on one MP3CD. This makes shipping easier and organization of your audiobook selection simple. So why doesn’t our selection include more MP3CD’s? MP3 is a fairly new technology and many publishers (especially in the LDS market) have not yet adopted it. More and more audiobooks are being published in the fashion and as they become available, we will offer them to you! How do you play MP3CD’s? You probably already have a way to play MP3CD’s right now! MP3CDs can be played in any computer CD Rom drive (as long as you have free software such as Windows Media Player, I-Tunes, or REAL Player installed) most new car CD players (just make sure it can play CDRW’s or CDRs), DVD players, and most newer CD players. If none of these players are available or just do not work for your situation, a portable device is not expensive. Portable MP3CD players can be found at most any Walmart, Target, K-Mart, Best Buy, Circuit City, Radio Shack, online store, or many other places. Prices vary, but a very good player can be found for less than $30. If your car audio does not play MP3CD format you can use an inexpensive cassette player adapter, a wireless FM adapter, or many other options are available (speak to an in-store electronics specialist). Can I listen to Audiobooks on my portable MP3 Player? You are responsible to follow all copyright laws. What you do with the disk after receiving it is your decision and RendLDSAudioBooks.com will not be held responsible for adherence to the laws and regulations surrounding each title. Why would you carry THAT title? Or, What is your criteria for product choice? It is our company’s mission to provide the LDS market with quality, uplifting, and family friendly audiobooks, talks, and DVD at an affordable price. Our selection is much larger than any of the big, LDS-Bookstores. It would be impossible for us to personally screen each and every title for content. Even if we could provide this service, our opinions of what is appropriate for our families may be different than what you might deem appropriate for your own family. Thus, we try to provide a large enough selection that you will find many more titles, appropriate for your family, than you could ever possibly get through. That way, the enjoyment never ends! I want a certain book or movie but you don't appear to have it. We will do our best to order any title that fits our criteria that is requested, if it has been released. Please use our Request a Title service. This service is available to members only (left hand menu option). Can I keep the disk from my rental queue? Though renting audiobooks and DVDs is, by far, the most cost-effective way to enjoy them, from time to time, our customers fall in love with a particular title and want to keep it. If you are interested in keeping a certain title you have rented, log on to your account, go to the title in your Queue and click on the "Keep Title" section. I have reviewed a title but it is not showing on the website. Once you have reviewed a title we check that it is a reasonable length of review and suitable for displaying on the website. This may take a few days. Once we have confirmed its suitability, it will be displayed. If you make a change to the review, it will go through this checking process again. Why are some titles currently unavailable? rentldsaudiobooks.com may have stocked copies of the title in the past but, if these have been lost in the mail or taken out of circulation due to damage, there may no longer be any copies of the title in stock. These titles will re-stocked as soon as supplies become available. If this is the case, you will be sent the next available title in your queue. This is why we suggest you have 10-15 titles listed at a time. Why should I rate titles? When you rate a title, everybody wins. Other subscribers can see how good a book or movie is, we get to understand what titles you like, and you get recommendations from us tailored to your tastes! |
